Samsung Galaxy A33 5G (6GB RAM) – Full-Functioning Middle-Range Device with a Catch
In April 2022, Samsung released its Galaxy A33 5G smartphone in India. The 6.4-inch AMOLED screen of the Galaxy A33 5G supports Full HD+ resolution. An Exynos 1280 CPU powers this gadget. The camera on this smartphone is 48 megapixels and has optical image stabilization. The latest version of Android (12) is preinstalled on the device. Design and Skillful Execution
The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G is not a tiny gadget, but not a big one either. The smartphone is rather large and heavy, measuring 159.7 x 74.0 x 8.1 mm and weighing 186 kg. You can see that Samsung is trying to put last year’s A32 failure behind it, at least in terms of design.
As a result, the A33 5G looks and feels quite similar to the somewhat more costly A53 5G. The bezel is the only distinguishing feature between the two gadgets. Samsung uses a glossy bezel on the more expensive A53 5G, in contrast to the matte bezel of the cheaper A33 5G. Which one you prefer depends entirely on personal preference.
Display
The 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Galaxy A33 5G screen has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a pixel density of 411ppi. The touchscreen has no borders and an aspect ratio of 20:9, resulting in a screen-to-body ratio of 83.68%.
The screen size is also rather substantial. Samsung uses an Infinity U display here, measuring 6.4 inches. 2400 by 1080 pixel resolution makes for very crisp images. By increasing the resolution to 1080p on the A32, Samsung has done an excellent job (Full HD). The AMOLED screen used here by Samsung guarantees strong contrasts and beautiful colors.
The smooth 90 Hz frame rate eliminates the need to put up with jerky or pixelated graphics when navigating or playing games. The Galaxy A33 5G succeeds in all areas of practical use. A fingerprint reader was put below the screen and is both quick and accurate in actual use.
Camera
The Galaxy A33 has a four-camera setup on its rear (5G). Camera options include a 48MP main shooter with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide shooter, a 5MP macro shooter, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 5MP shooter with an f/2.4 aperture. Some of the more advanced functions include autofocus, touch-to-focus, auto-flash, and digital zoom. In addition, selfies and video chats may be taken using the front-facing camera, which is a single 13-megapixel f/2.2 unit.
In modern Samsung phones, the camera app is universal. You may rearrange the viewfinder’s buttons or hide some of them altogether and swipe left and right cycles through all the possible settings. Vertical swiping can be used to toggle between the device’s front and rear cameras.
Selecting the gear icon in the screen’s upper left corner allows for fine-tuning of the camera’s settings. Since there aren’t too many settings in total, you don’t get distinct configuration panels for photographs and videos. Battery
A massive 5000mAh Li-polymer battery provides power to the non-removable Samsung Galaxy A33 5G. On top of that, it works with a 25W Fast Charging setup. Even with heavier usage, it will last for a whole day. This is probably because of the low-power, energy-efficient CPU. Recharging the battery at 25 watts is possible when the power is low. Samsung’s “quick charging” technology on this handset is far less powerful than that of competitors in the same price range.
Processor and Performance
Samsung’s own Exynos 1280 processor powers the Galaxy A33 5G. Fluid performance is ensured by the Octa-core processor’s Cortex A76 and Cortex A55 architecture.
As far as software goes, Samsung has, and will continue to, depend on Google’s Open Source, Project Android. Specifically, Android 12 is preinstalled on the Galaxy A33 5G. One UI 4, developed in-house by the South Korean IT firm, is an adaptation of Google’s Android with some minor tweaks.
