The OPPO A57 2022 now has the company’s Glow Design, which offers the phone a shimmering aesthetic while concealing its modest price point. The glitter effect makes the smartphone seem nice while protecting its glossy surface from dirt, scratches, and fingerprints. Furthermore, it features rounded corners and flat edges, giving it a unique design.
The power button is on the right side and includes a fingerprint reader. The volume rocker and SIM tray that have been chopped out three times are located on the back. The latter accepts a MicroSD card in addition to two SIM cards.

The smartphone has a 13 megapixel (MP) f/2.2 primary camera lens, a 2 MP (MP) f/2.4 mono camera, and an 8 MP (MP) f/2.0 selfie camera. However, given its low price and entry-level status in the market, you can overlook the absence of an ultrawide lens.
Images are crisp and clear despite the camera’s low resolution of 13 megapixels. When edited with just Lightroom’s bare minimum, the colors are also surprisingly vibrant, especially considering the camera’s low price. However, quality is degraded while shooting inside or in low light. The tale remains much the same when shooting in little or no light, even with night mode. Because of this, taking pictures with the A57’s camera is best done under bright conditions.
The A57 can only capture video at a maximum of 1080P 30FPS. However, the quality holds up quite well, surprisingly in dim light. The camera is responsive to shaking and movement, so you’ll need to steady yourself a little more before taking pictures.
Audio
The earpiece and bottom-firing speaker provide the OPPO A57 2022 audio quality that defies its low price. Together, they allow a reasonably priced smartphone to provide high-quality sound. There is a noticeable soundstage, and the bass is powerful. The loudness is intense at maximum; nevertheless, finer distinctions may be lost. Those who value listening quality should turn down the level despite the background noise. It’s not great, but it’s enough for light movie playback or gaming.
Software
The operating system of this smartphone is Android 12.0 and ColorOS 12.1. All processes have been simplified and made as user-friendly as possible. However, OPPO’s smartphones still allow you to personalize them to your liking with features including a wide selection of icon designs, wallpapers, themes, and widgets.
The Privacy Dashboard is there to safeguard user data. Users may check out what programs are currently active and what privileges they have. Of course, the usual Android features, such as a night mode, multiple windows, a split screen, and a straightforward settings menu, are all there.
Like other modern Android phones, it has a bunch of bloatware that we won’t use out of the box. This might cause the home screen to seem cluttered. However, if you rush through the installation, you can end up downloading unnecessary software. Of course, you can always remove them one by one after the fact, but that’s a lot of extra work.
Battery
The OPPO A57 2022 comes with a battery capacity of 5,000mAh. Thanks to its low-end specs, its battery may survive for around 2 days of moderate usage before recharging. However, PCMark Work 3.0 battery test fails on the device every time shortly before it finishes running.
The A57’s most notable improvement is its ability to charge at 33W using Quick Charge. Charging time is around one hour and twenty minutes, which is impressive for a gadget with such a low profile.
Performance
The OPPO A57 has a 2.3GHz octa-core CPU, a MediaTek MT6765G Helio G35 chipset, and a PowerVR GE8320 graphics processing unit. The model we are evaluating has 64GB of storage space and 4GB of memory.
The P35 was not designed for intense gaming. However, graphically intense games will play as smoothly as a slideshow, even on the lowest settings.
